Game Idea- Set

The next game I want to talk about is Set. The makers of set also created Five Crowns and Quiddler, and it is perhaps the hardest game on the list. It is not for little children! Not that the cards are bad, but it takes lots of concentration in looking at the cards. The goal is to find sets of three cards that have all aspects in common, or none of them at all, you could say it is all or nothing. The aspects are shape, shading, and color. Really, the rules are simple but it can be challenging as everyone is looking at the layout at the same time. When you see a possible set, you yell set, point out the cards and if everyone agrees then you get the set. If not, you just keep looking.
As a family we enjoy set, but generally I can only play about 2 rounds of the game as I get tired looking at all the cards. If you want to improve your skills at identifying similarities or differences, this is the game for you.
